Step 1: Install WireGuard

Connect to your server via SSH and run:

sudo apt update && sudo apt install wireguard -y

Step 2: Generate Keys

Generate a private and public key pair for your server:

wg genkey | tee /etc/wireguard/server_private.key | wg pubkey > /etc/wireguard/server_public.key
chmod 600 /etc/wireguard/server_private.key

Important: Never share your private key. The public key is safe to distribute to clients.

Step 3: Configure the Server

Create the WireGuard configuration file:

Step 4: Enable IP Forwarding

sysctl -p

Step 5: Start WireGuard

sudo systemctl enable wg-quick@wg0
sudo systemctl start wg-quick@wg0
